PMCC are thrilled to announce the launch of “PhD Seminars” series. These events will be held in PMCC on a regular basis for the foreseeable future. All are welcome to come along to listen and participate.
Series One: The Launch
On our opening seminar, we welcome the following speakers to present their research:
Sabrin Hasbun - Palestinian—Italian transnational writer. “Sabrin’s PhD research focuses around the ethical issues arising from the use of memories to build non-fiction memoirs. Her project addresses this issue by looking at alternative sources that non-fiction writers can use to give an exhaustive account to their readers, without giving a misleading picture of the historical facts and cultural background of their narration”. Sabrin is supervised by none other than Professor Ilan Pappe at Exeter University, alongside Richard Kerridge at Bath Spa University.
Adam Hogan - Adam’s PhD research “focuses on among other things, Britain’s awareness and complicity in population transfer during the Palestine Mandate, through examining their relations with an understanding/perspective of the Zionist movement in London and the Palestine government”. Adam is also supervised by Professor Ilan Pappe, and William Gallois at Exeter University.
