Jamie has recently returned to Bristol from a three-month trip to the West Bank, where he worked as a human rights monitor with the Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel.
During his time there, he witnessed the Israeli military restricting Palestinian movement with checkpoints and roadblocks, demolishing Palestinian homes, and targeting unarmed Palestinian civilians, including children, with tear gas, stun grenades and rubber-coated bullets. In this talk, he will share his observations and experiences, as well as the stories of Palestinians living under Israeli occupation.
Any donations will be welcome on the night.
Food will be available afterwards, downstairs in the Resbite cafe (@£6 for a plate).
